Top Conversion and User Research Companies in Ireland
Updated 6 August 2026 · 1 min read · 5 companies
Conversion optimisation is a thin market in Ireland. Five firms is the entire directory listing, and every one of them sells it alongside paid media, search or design. There is no dedicated Irish conversion research practice in these directories, so this list is honest about its own size rather than padded to ten.
What to look for in a conversion partner
- Do they run experiments or redesigns? Ask what statistical threshold they call a result at. A firm that cannot answer is redesigning pages and reporting the traffic afterwards.
- Do they have enough of your traffic to test? Testing needs volume. A good firm will tell you when you do not have it and suggest research instead.
- Research capability, not just testing. Interviews and usability sessions generate the hypotheses worth testing. Without them you are guessing faster.
- Who owns the analytics. Conversion work depends on clean measurement. Find out who fixes the tracking when it breaks, and whether that is billed separately.
If your site converts a few hundred times a month, skip A/B testing and spend the budget on watching ten real users try to complete the task. You will learn more, faster.

Frequently asked questions
- What does a conversion optimisation agency actually do?
- It increases the share of visitors who complete an action, using research and controlled experiments rather than redesign by opinion. Real practice means user testing, analytics review, hypothesis, then A/B tests judged against a statistical threshold. Anything short of that is redesign with a conversion label on it.
- Why are there so few CRO agencies in Ireland?
- Conversion work needs traffic volume to reach statistical significance, and most Irish businesses do not have it. The discipline concentrates in larger markets as a result. The five firms here all sell it alongside paid media or search rather than as a standalone practice.
- How much traffic do I need before CRO is worth it?
- Enough for a test to reach significance in weeks rather than months. As a rough guide that means thousands of conversions per month, not thousands of visits. Below that, qualitative user research will tell you more than A/B testing, and it costs less.
- What is the difference between CRO and user research?
- User research tells you why people behave as they do, through interviews, usability sessions and observation. CRO tests whether a specific change moves a number. Research generates the hypothesis and testing validates it, which is why the two are usually sold together.
