Outdoor Advertising Companies in Ireland

Irish out-of-home is a five-company market. That is not a shortlist, it is the entire membership of the Outdoor Media Association, the sector's trade body. Three of the five own the sites. The other two plan and buy across all of them. Knowing which you need is most of the decision.

What to look for in out-of-home

  • Owner or agency. Media owners sell their own inventory. Planning agencies buy across the market. A multi-format campaign needs the second.
  • Format against message. Roadside billboards, street furniture and transit reach different people in different states of mind.
  • Digital or classic. Digital buys flexibility. Classic usually buys cheaper impressions. Pick based on whether your message changes.
  • Production and installation. Print, delivery and posting sit outside the media cost and are easy to forget in a budget.

Clear Channel Ireland is now Bauer Media Outdoor. If your last out-of-home campaign was booked under the old name, your contacts and rate history are filed somewhere that no longer answers to it.

Frequently asked questions

How much does billboard advertising cost in Ireland?
None of the media owners publishes rate cards, because pricing depends on site, format, duration and season. Costs are quoted per panel for a two-week cycle in most cases. A planning agency will get better rates than approaching owners individually.
Should I go to a media owner or a planning agency?
Go to a planning agency if your campaign spans more than one owner's inventory, which most do. PML Group and Talon plan and buy across the market. Approaching owners directly makes sense only for a small, single-format campaign.
What happened to Clear Channel Ireland?
It now trades as Bauer Media Outdoor. The clearchannel.ie domain redirects to bauermediaoutdoor.ie. Older directory listings, contact details and rate discussions referencing Clear Channel Ireland are out of date.
Is digital out-of-home worth the premium?
It buys flexibility rather than reach: day-part scheduling, quick creative changes and trigger-based messaging. If your message changes by time, weather or stock levels, that flexibility pays. For a static brand message over several weeks, classic formats usually cost less per impression.
