Top PR Agencies in Ireland
Updated 6 August 2026 · 1 min read · 10 companies
Public relations is one of the few Irish agency categories still dominated by specialists. Most firms below do PR and little else, which is exactly what you want, because the product is journalist relationships and those take years to build. This list covers Ireland-headquartered PR agencies with team size and project minimums.
What to look for in a PR agency
- Specialist or add-on. Six firms here do PR almost exclusively. An agency offering PR alongside six other services rarely has the contacts.
- Sector relationships. Ask which journalists covering your sector they spoke to in the last month. It is a fair question and the answer is revealing.
- What the retainer buys. Convert the monthly fee into hours and named activity, or you cannot compare two proposals.
- Agreed measurement. Decide before you start what success looks like. Coverage volume is not it.
No agency can guarantee coverage. If a proposal promises specific placements in specific publications, ask whether those are paid partnerships, because that is what a guarantee usually means.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does a PR agency cost in Ireland?
- Published project minimums run from 1,000 to 5,000 dollars, though most agencies publish nothing. PR is almost always sold as a monthly retainer rather than a project. Ask what the retainer buys in hours, because that is the only comparable number between agencies.
- What does a PR agency actually deliver?
- Media relationships and the coverage that comes from them, plus the writing and positioning work behind it. It does not deliver guaranteed placements, and any agency promising specific coverage in specific titles is describing advertising, not PR.
- Should I hire a specialist or a full-service agency?
- Most agencies on this list are PR specialists, which is unusual and useful. A specialist has the journalist relationships. A full-service agency with a PR line usually does not, and coverage depends almost entirely on those relationships.
- How do I measure PR results?
- Agree the measure before you start. Coverage volume is easy and nearly meaningless. Better measures are share of voice against named competitors, coverage in the two or three titles your buyers actually read, and inbound enquiries that cite an article.
