ILAC Reward

ILAC was looking for a rewards program to drive footfall and spending across its 60+ stores.

The challenge was to find a solution that involved all tenants without incurring extensive integration costs with different retailers’ POS systems.

Brandfire built a mobile app rewards platform that allows customers to upload receipts as proof of purchase.

A mobile app was deployed in less than 5 weeks, allowing customers to participate in the campaign by simply shopping in one or more stores in the ILAC. A minimum spend was required, and customers were encouraged to upload their receipts to enter the competition. This seamless and user-friendly process made it easy for customers to engage with the campaign and increased their likelihood of participation.


The campaign successfully increased footfall in the ILAC shopping centre as customers were motivated to visit the stores and restaurants to participate in the promotion. Additionally, the average basket value saw a significant increase as customers were incentivised to spend more in order to enter the competition. The ease of participation and the attractive nature of the prizes led to greater customer engagement and spending.


The deployment of the mobile app in less than 5 weeks proved to be an effective solution for driving footfall and increasing the average basket value for retailers and quick service restaurants. This approach is particularly beneficial for in-store promotions during seasonal times of the year such as back to school and Christmas. The success of this campaign demonstrates the potential for similar strategies to be implemented in other shopping centres and retail environments.
